Planning ArtFest (Denim & Lace) - July 31 - August 2

Hi Everyone,

I've been rummaging through antique stores looking for vintage lace, scouring the fabric stores and my private stash, and have compiled quite a beautiful collection of fabrics and trims.

Mark your calendars for another creative ArtFest weekend called "Denim & Lace".  It will be held at Treasured Memories in Edmonton the long weekend in August (July 31 - August 2).

We will be creating a Fabric Art Book by altering a Chunky Canvas, attaching a Fabric Pre-Sewn Spine, & inserting 9 different Denim & Lace pages that you will create.  You will manipulate the fabric pages to provide texture as well as learn which products to use when working with different weights of fabrics.

The Chunky Canvas, Front cover, & blank fabric pages are below:

The various shades of denim blue & vintage lace are absolutely stunning.
I was so lucky to find crocheted butterflies on an antique table runner!
(Can you see them in the centre of the photo below?)

"Denim & Lace" . . . the blank pages . . . let the transformation begin!

There are 8 ladies on the list already, with only 11 spots available.
Please phone Treasured Memories at 780-414-1540 to provide a deposit to hold your spot.

The cost for the weekend is $180.
This includes all the items to create your Chunky Fabric Art Book and complementary food throughout the weekend.  A supply list will follow.

We artists are very giving, so there will be a "Sharing/Gift Bags" for everyone on Friday night.

Stay tuned for photos of the pages as they are completed!

Thank you everyone for your kind words.
Happy creating!

    1. It's always so much fun gathering items for a new project. The pages are coming together beautifully. Thank you for supplying the cassette tapes for the amazing texture we will be creating on the canvas page. We will have a lot of fun creating this book!
